Our iPhone/iPad app, “The Humpback Whale Guide” should be out in a couple weeks. This app will give you everything you need to know about Humpback whales for those going whale watching or doing whale photography. It’s written by Marine Ecologist Melissa Meeker and is fully illustrated with amazing photos from Jim Tierney and Michael Sweet. It covers a wide range of topics from anatomy and behaviors to phylogeny and Bifurcation.

You can get a taste of what will be available in the app by checking out the section on Migration. Great information, beautiful photos, and informative illustrations. That’s what you’ll find in our discussion of everything related to migration and all the other pages in “The Humpback Whale Guide”.
It gives you a portable reference guide wherever you go, be it Maine or Maui. You can even use the GPS to let friends on Facebook know where you’re seeing whales. It’ll post a map straight to your Facebook page!

For those that like games, there’s a Humpback Whale Quiz game. You can test your knowledge or compete head-to-head against other iPhone toting whale fanatics.
It’s a great app for these incredible 50 foot animals and those whale watchers that love chasing them around. It’ll be available the beginning of February!
